Six people have died of dengue across the country in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of dengue-related deaths this year to 349. The information was disclosed in a report issued on Wednesday, November 19, by the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the report, 788 patients were admitted to hospitals nationwide with dengue fever in the past 24 hours. Of them, 252 were admitted to hospitals within Dhaka metropolitan area, while 130 were admitted in the rest of Dhaka division outside the city corporation areas. In addition, 87 patients were admitted in Barishal division, 108 in Chattogram division, 66 in Khulna division, 54 in Mymensingh division, 88 in Rajshahi division and 3 in Sylhet division.
The report also stated that a total of 87,712 people have been hospitalised with dengue fever across the country so far this year.
