To strengthen citizen participation in nature and wildlife conservation, the Forest Department of Bangladesh has launched a volunteer registration program.
The initiative is being implemented by the Wildlife and Nature Conservation Circle, Dhaka, under the Forest Department. Individuals who are already engaged or interested in wildlife conservation, habitat protection, wildlife rescue, or awareness activities have been invited to register as volunteers by filling out an online form. The information collected will be used for official purposes.
Registered volunteers will play a vital role in wildlife protection, preventing illegal wildlife trade, restoring natural habitats, and raising awareness among local communities. In addition, the Forest Department will provide necessary training to the registered volunteers. Based on their contributions and the information they provide, volunteers may also be considered for awards or special recognition for outstanding efforts in wildlife conservation.

Active citizen participation in protecting biodiversity and maintaining ecological balance is expected to contribute to a safer and greener planet for future generations.
