A mild winter-like feeling has begun to spread across the country, with Dhaka and its surrounding areas also experiencing a gradual drop in temperature. Although the morning minimum temperature in the capital had remained around 20 degrees Celsius in recent days, it dipped to 19.6 degrees Celsius at 6 a.m. today.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the temperature may rise slightly as the day progresses, with dry weather expected throughout the day.
The Storm Warning Centre, in a six-hour forecast issued at 7 a.m. today, Friday, reported that the sky over Dhaka and nearby areas will remain clear in the first half of the day, with dry conditions expected to prevail. Winds from the north and northwest may blow at speeds of 6 to 12 kilometres per hour. Daytime temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged.
According to the morning observations, the minimum temperature recorded in Dhaka at 6 a.m. was 19.6 degrees Celsius, while the relative humidity stood at 85 percent. Yesterday’s maximum temperature in Dhaka was 30 degrees Celsius, and today’s minimum was 19.5 degrees. Sunset today will be at 5:13 p.m. and sunrise tomorrow at 6:11 a.m. No rainfall was recorded in Dhaka in the past 24 hours.
A nationwide forecast issued by the Meteorological Department stated that from 9 a.m. today to the next 24 hours, the weather across the country may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, while nighttime temperatures may rise slightly.
