
In response to the recent outbreak of anthrax in different areas of the Rangpur division, a delegation from the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) visited the affected regions, including Sundarganj, Mithapukur, and Pirgacha, on Thursday to assess the situation on the ground.
The visiting team included Dr. Boyezar Rahman, Director (Administration) of the Department of Livestock Services and ZRF’s monitor for the Rangpur division, along with Dr. Shariful Islam Nantu, Member Secretary of Doctors Association Bangladesh (DAB) Rangpur Metropolitan unit and a lifetime member of ZRF. Several divisional leaders and representatives of the foundation were also present during the visit.
During the inspection, the team expressed gratitude to Professor Dr. Farhad Halim Donar, Executive Director of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation, for providing comprehensive guidance for the field visit. They also extended special thanks to Dr. Shah Muhammad Amanullah, Convener of the ZRF Rehabilitation Team, and Dr. Parvez Reza Kakon, Member Secretary of the team, for their active support and coordination.
The foundation members also conveyed heartfelt appreciation to ZRF President Tarique Rahman and Vice President Dr. Zubaida Rahman for their continued leadership and unwavering commitment to standing beside the people of Bangladesh during times of crisis. They praised the leadership for offering direction and support to the foundation even from London, ensuring that assistance reaches communities affected by disasters in every corner of the country.
