
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast light rainfall in various parts of the country over the next five days, with temperatures expected to fluctuate slightly or remain unchanged. The forecast covers the period from 9 a.m. Monday for the following 120 hours.
According to the forecast, isolated light showers are possible in parts of the Chattogram division over the next three days. Other regions of the country are expected to experience mostly dry weather with partly cloudy skies. Day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged during this period.
On Thursday, light rain may again occur in some areas of Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, while other parts of the country are expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy conditions. Daytime temperatures will remain largely unchanged, but night temperatures may increase slightly.
Similarly, on Friday, from 9 a.m. for the following 24 hours, light rain is expected in scattered locations of Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Other regions are likely to experience mostly dry weather with partly cloudy skies. Day temperatures across the country are expected to remain steady, with slight increases in night temperatures.
The extended five-day forecast indicates no significant changes in the country’s overall weather conditions.
The Meteorological Department also noted that the seasonal normal low-pressure system is currently located over the northern Bay of Bengal, extending southward to the southern Bay of Bengal. The southwest monsoon has receded from the Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and may leave the remaining parts of the country by October 15.
Over the past 24 hours, the highest temperature was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius in Netrokona and Feni, while the lowest temperature of 22 degrees Celsius was observed in Rajshahi.
