Temperatures across Bangladesh are gradually decreasing as the country transitions toward cooler weather. The seasonal low-pressure system is currently located over the southern Bay of Bengal, maintaining dry conditions nationwide. However, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that nighttime temperatures may drop by one to two degrees Celsius in the coming days, with light fog likely to appear in some areas early in the morning.
Meteorologists have indicated that this pattern is expected to persist for at least a week, with no significant changes anticipated. Parts of northern and northeastern Bangladesh may experience light fog during the early hours.
Meteorologist Md. Tariful Newaz Kabir of the BMD said, “There is little chance of any notable change in weather over the next few days. The temperature will continue to decline gradually. This condition is likely to remain more or less the same until November 16 or 17.”
As of Friday evening, no rainfall was recorded anywhere in the country, according to the BMD. The highest temperature on Saturday was 34 degrees Celsius, recorded in Ambagan, Chattogram, while the lowest was 17.1 degrees Celsius in Tetulia, Panchagarh, in northern Bangladesh.
In Dhaka, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 31.5 degrees and 24 degrees Celsius respectively, reflecting the steady shift toward cooler, drier conditions typical of the season’s transition.
