The Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Pranay Verma, has confirmed that various types of Indian visas, including medical visas, are currently available for Bangladeshi nationals, and full visa services will resume once the situation improves.
Verma made the remarks on Monday evening in Mirzapur, Tangail, after attending the Saptami Puja ceremony at the puja mandap of Danbir Randa Prasad Sah. Responding to questions from reporters, he said that medical visas are actively being issued in significant numbers, and other visa categories will be processed normally once conditions stabilize.
Earlier in the day, Verma visited Kumudini Square, where he was welcomed by Mahavir Pati, Director of the Kumudini Welfare Trust, and Mandira Chowdhury, Principal of the Bharateshwari Homes. Following a tea gathering at the Kumudini Library, he crossed the Louhajang River by Bajra boat to inspect the puja mandap at the Randa residence.
