Rainfall across the country is likely to continue, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said in its weather forecast issued on Sunday, October 5. The forecast also mentioned that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected in almost all divisions of the country.
According to the Met Office, rainfall activity may intensify in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions, where heavier showers are likely.
The forecast stated that most areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions, and many places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds.
It also added that in some places of these three divisions—Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh—moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur.
Meanwhile, the weather office said that day and night temperatures across the country are expected to remain nearly unchanged, with no significant variation anticipated in temperature levels.
