Jahangirnagar University (JU) has banned all types of events on its campus after 10 PM until further notice to ensure peace, discipline and security.
The announcement was made on Saturday (15 November) by the university’s Public Relations Office.
According to the official statement, this decision was taken in accordance with a previous Syndicate meeting and is being communicated to all concerned parties. Any event taking place after 10 PM will be subject to action against the organizers under the university’s existing regulations and relevant national laws.
The statement also directed that noise levels during events must be kept within permissible limits to avoid disturbance.
The university’s Public Relations Office urged all students, staff and organizers to cooperate with these directives to maintain campus order and safety.
