HSBC and Solidaridad Network have launched a project titled “Improving Prosperity and Sustainability of Bangladesh Feed and Oil Industry through Soybean Farming in Asia” to promote climate-resilient soybean cultivation across the country.
Under the initiative, more than 40,000 farmers are cultivating soybeans on approximately 42,000 hectares of land. The project aims to strengthen climate resilience in agriculture by supporting farmers to overcome challenges related to soil salinity and changing weather patterns.
According to the organizers, the program not only helps protect farmers’ livelihoods but also contributes significantly to ensuring national food security by promoting sustainable and adaptive farming practices.
