
Prof. Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, a distinguished poultry health expert and former Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), has been awarded the prestigious Hall of Fame Award at the 23rd World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) Congress 2025. The international congress, themed "Sustainable Healthy Poultry for a Healthier World," is being held from October 6–10, 2025, at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in Sarawak, Malaysia.
Dr. Chowdhury, who currently serves in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Science at BAU, received the award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the poultry science community, pioneering research in avian pathology, and his enduring dedication to advancing poultry health in Bangladesh and globally.
The Hall of Fame Award is one of the highest accolades presented by the WVPA, reserved for individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in veterinary poultry science.
