
The evaluation of answer scripts for the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations has been completed, and preparations are now underway for publishing the results. According to the Public Examinations Act, education boards are required to release results within 60 days of the completion of written exams. Following that rule, the results are expected to be published before October 18.
Professor S. M. Kamal Uddin Haydar, Controller of Examinations at the Dhaka Education Board and Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee, confirmed the information to the media on Tuesday, October 7.
“All education boards across the country have finished evaluating answer scripts,” he said. “The technical process of compiling results is ongoing, and necessary instructions have been given to ensure timely publication. The 60-day deadline ends on October 18, and we plan to release the results before that date. However, the final release date has not yet been decided.”
The written exams for this year’s HSC and equivalent sessions concluded on August 19, followed by practical tests held between August 21 and 31. A total of 1,251,111 students participated in the examinations nationwide, including 618,015 male and 633,096 female candidates.
Examinations were held under 11 education boards at 2,797 centers across the country. Among them, the Dhaka Board recorded the highest number of candidates with 291,241 students. Rajshahi Board followed with 133,242, while Jessore had 116,317, Cumilla 101,750, Chattogram 101,135, Barishal 61,025, Sylhet 69,683, Dinajpur 103,832, and Mymensingh 78,273 candidates.
In addition, 86,102 Alim candidates appeared under the Madrasah Education Board, and 109,611 students sat for exams under the Technical Education Board.
Education officials have expressed confidence that the results will be ready and published on time, maintaining the consistency of the national examination schedule.
